jacquesstar
Okay, so I now have a 664, and my TASCAM HD-P2 doesn't power up anymore, the screen flashes on for a second and then it dies. It is past warranty. Asking for opinions here, should I sell it for parts, trash it or get a repair estimate?
pkautzsch
All three. The order in which to do it seems obvious.
John Blankenship
Too scant information. As a first step, none of the above. Your first step with any malfunctioning gear should be troubleshooting. Is it on battery power? Rechargable? A.C. adapter? Whichever one you're on, have you tried the others? Does a different power supply behave any differently? Is this with, or without CF card? Have you tried a different CF card? Etc. Etc. studiomprd
" should I sell it for parts, trash it or get a repair estimate? " yep... or you could donate it to one of my schools, and take a tax deduction.
Tom Duffy
There are 12 Authorized Service/Repair Centers for TASCAM in Texas http://tascam.com/service_center/ Any one of these should be able to give a repair estimate for a small charge. Thanks!
