Michael Miramontes
I moved from windows many years ago because I got tired of their pop-up windows to update this and that. Now, I'm starting to get a freaking Adobe Flash Player update window every 10th time I visit this site. Does anyone know how to disable this? Ze Frias
You should be able to disable update checks. The only caveat is that each update probably does some improvements in security, and not updating flash player could lead to potential security threats. soundchris
System Preferences -> Flash Player -> Advanced -> Updates -> tick: "Never check for Updates"
Michael Miramontes
Jose, You bring up a good point. Thanks for the tip. Soundchris, Excellent! Thanks for that info, however now Jose has me worried. haha
Michael Miramontes
BTW, anyone figure out how to fix the whole "networking losing connection when computer goes to sleep" issue?
Jeff Wexler
Michael, is it as simple as setting your Energy Saving preferences to "Wake for network access"?
Michael Miramontes
Jeff, My settings are the same. I believe that setting is to wake the computer up when someone, on my network, wishes to access my computer. I've "google'd" this issue a few times and it seems as though it has been an on-going problem for quite some time. I never had this issue until I upgraded to the latest OS. Bummer. =(
soundchris
I had problems with waking up after sleep on my MacBookPro and occasionally wlan issues and solved this by setting the deep sleep options to "0".
