Mark LeBlanc
Ran across this deleted scene clip from Game of Thrones. Sounds like the pure Raw Production audio with just limited audio editing for L/J cuts. etc If memory serves me, these would be DPA lav's.. Johnathan Sessoms
I'd work on it.
atheisticmystic
If memory serves me, these would be DPA lav's.. ML I'm getting very close to test-renting these, they sound incredible. The more I edit my Sankens (especially with female speakers) and Countrymans, the more I want to try something else.

mikewest
Yes very good The older actor is initially puffing on his lav - it should have been biased to one side or even rigged laterally not vertically (had this problem with Hugh Laurie) I use Sonotrims and B6's and B3's on my water-proof channels mike

Is Laurie a huffer and puffer, or does he drop his head down when he speaks ?
soundmanjohn
It's worth pointing out that Julian Glover and Charles Dance are both very experienced stage actors with many years spent performing in theatres in the UK without the aid of reinforcement. When the source is good, half the battle is won. But I do love the DPAs... Regards, John
bleueblancrouge
yes, speaking clearly and projection is such a bonus. what's sad is that it's unfortunately not the norm.
