I received it today and immediately noticed the LCD backlight does not turn on, but everything else works fine. I've looked around online to try to find people with the same issue but can't find anything. The instruction manual doesn't seem to have any options to adjust the backlight or turn it off/on. There is mention in the troubleshooting section about how low batteries could cause the light not to work, but I tried with fully recharged batteries. I'm going to call Lectrosonics tomorrow and arrange a servicing. But until then I'm curious; How common is it for the UCR backlights to go out? And, if it's happened to you, what does Lectrosonics charge to replace it? Please don't waste your time on this unless you are really bored. I'm going to call them in the morning anyway. jerryray Posted August 20, 2013 Report Share Posted August 20, 2013 They don't go out too often. Any rain that gets though the front will cause that and power switch failures. I have found about 50% of the ebay Items have problems. The good news is the new displays are much brighter than the old ones. Keep the rain cover on when outdoors.
