rich
Hi all. for the first time last week, i used my zaxcom rx900s receiver with internal batteries and found that the batteries i was using were too wide to be removed from the receiver easily. after a bit of rummaging i found some old sony rechargeables that fit fine, and the procell alkalines i have are ok. but ive been using ansmann 2700mah nimh rechargeables for the transmitters, and assumed (now i see where i went wrong) that AA batteries were all a standardised size and would therefore fit without issue, but that half a millimetre difference makes quite alot of difference. so i was hoping that other users would be able to tell me what rechargeable AA batteries they have found that fit in the zaxcom receiver. (and if they are cheap, reliable and available in the uk, that would be super nice too) thanks rich
Audio Daddyo
Hi Rich, I have 2 - RX900s Receivers and one of the Receiver's battery compartment seemed a bit smaller than my other receiver. My rayovac rechargables like yours would get stuck in one of my Receiver's but not in the other Receiver. I opened up the RX with the smaller battery compartment and was able to carefully bend a piece of metal dividing the battery compartment from the rest of the Reciever and make the battery compartment just large enough so the rechargables could slip in and out. wbrisett
This has been a sore point for me. I have found that using the Tenergy brand works better, but it's still not perfect. I end up banging the receiver on the end of my hand to get them out. It seems after a few recharges and insertions into the receiver, things seem to be easier. However, this does still seem to be a bit of an issue (even after they removed the SN sticker from inside the side wall of the battery compartment).
