rich
"Up to 1536 kHz audio sample frequency for the highest audio fidelity" because we TOTALLY need that. as 1536 is 48 x 32, I suspect a mild amount of not knowing entirely what they are talking about. Marc Wielage
I think the biggest benefit of HDMI 2.0 is supposed to be 4K video (aka "Ultra HD"). The only problem with that is that the video is still 8-bits, which -- to me -- is still not enough. We need more bits, more often.
Bondelev
"Up to 1536 kHz audio sample frequency for the highest audio fidelity" That is actually in the specs! It should come in handy for all the viewers he who have AM radios implanted in their heads.

Just because you can't hear a frequency, doesn't mean it doesn't interact with frequencies you CAN hear.

rcoronado
as 1536 is 48 x 32, I suspect a mild amount of not knowing entirely what they are talking about. thats what I figured as well. wrt frequencies at 750kHz (!) interacting with things at 16k - I've got some real estate to sell ya. studiomprd
I suspect that is the total bandwidth (capacity) alloted to audio, and it is planned to be multiplexed.
