Tom Visser
I didn't think any thread like this existed yet... it's definitely not a classified ad, and probably not appropriate for the soon to be replaced WTB/WTS forum... so just posting links to interesting finds on eBay that I thought others might be interested in... Tom Visser
Sony MX-P61PK (seems to be incorrectly advertised as an MX-P61VU) - looks a little beat http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400583203940&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:3160

Philip Perkins
The 2nd Sony was a very good mixer, although no inserts etc. But pretty long in the tooth now, and heavy and power-hungry (was really made for remote trucks). I liked the sound and usage of it though--was pretty common in early '90s. philp

Tom Visser
Others are welcome to contribute their finds of course. The going price I've been seeing on eBay for the MX-P61VU is $800, but they don't come up too often. I was on the fence about buying one this last year but never pulled the trigger. Love it. This was my first console on my first cart. That thing weighed more than the rest of my cart put together and drew enough power for the juicers to have to put up a second power plant. It sounded good enough. Made a nice mix to my PD4. If anyone has one, I've got a bunch of channel strips left from it that I'll gladly donate. Richard Thomas
That's how much a new 302 is now this side of the pond. This one's definitely interesting (who pays that much for one): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Switchcraft-guitar-cord-for-Sennheiser-EW100-SK100-wireless-transmitter-bodypack-/300940718987?pt=US_Cables_Snakes_Interconnects&hash=item461176f38b And they 'Specialise in handheld sandwich irons and wireless audio gear'
Tom Visser
I was just curious, with so many choices, which is the one to get? I heard the build quality on some are much better than others. It's a joke of course, but ultimately I do want a good quality thermos... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=lens+thermos+-nikon&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.Xlens+thermos+-nikon+-nican&_nkw=lens+thermos+-nikon+-nican&_sacat=
Johnny Karlsson
ultimately I do want a good quality thermos... This one was not listed on ebay; http://www.wayfair.com/Zojirushi-Travel-Mug-SM-KB-ZOJ1232.html Best thermos I've ever had. Beverage stays hot all day. With early call times, I have even made coffee the night before and it's still hot in the morning. The opening button has a "lock", so it's all good throwing it in a backpack
Johnny Karlsson
ok, so I owe you an ebay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANTIQUE-SEARS-SILVERTONE-8170-WIRE-RECORDER-6-SILVERTONE-RECORDING-WIRES-REELS-/111204009512?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item19e4468628
Matthias Richter
two (2!!) MKH 60 for 1.200 € - that´s quite cheap. I got one already and don´t need another 2. http://kleinanzeigen.ebay.de/anzeigen/s-anzeige/2-sennheiser-mkh-60-p48-richtmikrophone-mit-phantomspeisung/154671556-172-9672?ref=search

Tom Visser
Here's another LM1 for sale, although this one doesn't come with a power supply nor does it take 12VDC (without modification). http://www.ebay.com/itm/Soundcraft-Lm1-Production-Sound-Mixer-Cooper-Sonosax-Audio-Developments-PSC-/111238132819?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19e64f3453
cory
I got an old soundcraft a few years back and it sounds AMAZING. I record bands with it now. The power supply for it is NUTS.

Ju Griz
I've only had an ME66 up until now. I just bought this as a Christmas present to myself. I thought it was a relatively good deal. Thought I'd check in here to see if I made any major mistakes lol. Pretty sure it's solid though. Used Sennheiser MKH416 for $600 http://www.ebay.com/itm/291035705734
studiomprd
JFG: " Thought I'd check in here to see if I made any major mistakes lol. " that is difficult to say. especially on eBay, Caveat Emptor, and of course the rule is: Generally speaking, you get what you pay for. so you tell us if you made any major mistakes, lol... Right on. I'll definitely post about what I get in the mail. Basically, right after I finalized the PayPal transaction, I stumbled across some comment on another site about how there are Chinese knockoffs of the 416 and to be careful. Immediate doubt, slight panic.
