I worked with Chivo (DP) a week or so ago on a commercial, and heard him talking about this movie with his crew.

He was saying the sound was amazing, and they asked about there being no sound in space.  He said that there was of course some cinematic license, but that the movie "would be nothing without the sound".

Made me very interested in checking it out.

He also said it had to be seen in 3D, which is also unusual coming from a DP.

Can't wait for "Gravity"
Children of Men is on my top 10 films of all times. as a film its technical achievements, surround mix, script and actors.

Was really looking forward for Cuaron's film after Children Of Men.

Gravity justifies watching the film on an IMAX theater.

Mostly agreed, I'm doing the same.

And Eric, could it be any worse then Bane's DX ?

Nah, Hoyts Extremescreen. I've gone off IMAX a bit lately. Its just a bit too big!

Wish there was a cinema with atmos in Australia though! Even NZ have one :P

I don't think any IMAX screens has Atmos do they?

Either way, The Edwards Cinemas near me has Atmos in their RPX theater, and the IMAX screen there does not.
