jason porter
Hi, I am trying to split the tapeout of my 302 to- -1 stereo output to feed a backup recorder and -1 mono output to feed a Sennheiser G2 (used as an IFB feed) When I mono one of the leads, (using an adapter or direct wiring) it mono's both leads. Does anyone know of a workaround for this? Thanks -Jason

If for some reason you must sum them, you need a pair of 2k-10k or more resistors on each channel leg to sum the 2 channels for the G2 mono feed. There will probably be some cross talk with the lower resistance. ----Courtney
John Blankenship
Sound Devices has a simple schematics on its site that derives a mono output while preserving sufficient stereo separation. Go look at their support documents for the SD302. JB
