Richard Ragon
I guess we live in the kind of World in which de-vaules 'the little guy', and labor is simply just assumed that it's all just free.. I routinely rail on producers wanting lower level labor on set to work for free, but I guess it's bad all around. This is heartbreaking. http://juanluisgarcia.com/dear-spike-lee/ -Richard
Mirror
I wonder how Spike Lee will respond to this. My guess is that he will not.... ...until lawyers are involved
taylormadeaudio
What a shame : /... Spike Lee has an opportunity here to further solidify himself as an advocate for what is right (an image into which he's poured a considerable amount of effort over the years)... yeah, it'll be interesting to see how this shakes out. We obviously don't know the whole story (having really only heard one side of it) but my gut instinct is that Mr. Garcia is simply fighting for something to which he's entitled. ~tt

Richard Ragon
Look like this took off.. And Spike is NOT looking too good here.. He's getting plastered https://twitter.com/SpikeLee/status/406084275969085440 Spike needs a better publicist. First the Kickstarter fiasco, now this?? -Richard
stevegrider
I lost a lot of respect for Spike Lee when he tweeted what he thought was George Zimmerman's address. It turns out it was the address of some random senior couple. I hope he doesn't act as irresponsibly in this situation.
Henchman
I lost respect for him when he did a kickstarter project. Guess he didn't want to use his basketball ringside ticket fund to fund his own movie. Or pay this guy for his work. He should be ashamed of himself. Jaymz
What a scumbag response on twitter. Even if he honestly knew nothing, that's not how to handle the situation. Wealthy individuals should be banned from using kickstarter.
pindrop
Achieving some justice using the internet, can it be done? It's certainly a lot less expensive and risky than using the courts. It'll be interesting to see how this develops.
