Derek H
There is a new Maxx user manual available too that might clear things up.
Jack Norflus
Added AES Output Attenuation feature in MODE menu (for NeverClip attenuation on Direct outs only) - A little more specifications about this. It is essentially like the ISO attenuation for the record tracks - but for the AES outputs. It allows you take take advantage of the full dynamic range of the Never Clip inputs when sending the AES direct outs to another recorder or AES device. cory
Is Maxx 2.0 stable? I was going to upgrade but a friend warned me that it's still on beta?
Jack Norflus
2.04 is actually the latest version - and it has been fine for me. And as far as I know there hasn't been any reported issues with it.
cory
Thx Jack! I've got a big gig with Maxx this weekend-- should I update or just stay where I'm at?
Jack Norflus
I think you will be fine.
Nick Campbell
v2.04 working well for me. Week one of a four week tour and it's been absolutely solid.
Jack Norflus
Though if what you have is working - and you don't need what 2.0 is offering - don't change before a big job. If you do keep an earlier version with you on a cf card.
Zack
[quote name="Jack Norflus" post="236508" timestamp="1387853271" So yes Zack as previously posted Maxx 2.0 features, as well as several future ones, will be implemented in Nomad. I am not sure the exact time frame due to the holidays - but it will be soon. Now that it's Feb 2014, are there any updates to these Nomad features? justanross
Now that it's Feb 2014, are there any updates to these Nomad features? I'm wondering the same. Howie's wife did just have a baby so I'm sure he's busy with that. Plus they just released new wireless, so you know how that goes ;-)
Wandering Ear
i need these features in my Nomad... we came up with them for the nomad . I agree. I'm sure I'll enjoy them when my maxx arrives, and they will be on the nomad in due time.

Jeff Wexler
If you're using pitchfork v. 1.09 or lower, it will not work.
howy
We are expecting 7 to 10 inches of snow tonight so I will try to bring the Nomad software home and see if I can get some of those features into the nomad during the storm tomorrow (trim diamonds in the card meters... etc). Also note that the latest maxx software is 2.04A which solved a crashing problem in 2.04. -howy
dominiquegreffard
Hi howy, Congrats for the new baby! Please consider the access to the v faders from the card page on the new nomad software. It would make working with 6+ wireless much friendlier (We ve had this discussion over the phone a little while ago). Cheers!
Zack
Thanks for the update Howy, very appreciated.
John Blankenship
I'm looking forward to Nomad having individual sleep (LOW2) and wake functions for transmitters. One of the greatest strengths of Zaxnet should not be overlooked. Right now it controls all of them at once. That's just not the world that most of us work in.
