Wandering Ear
Advice needed regarding the Disable feature: Should I leave in the overlap protection or is the TX completely invisible to all calculation? There is a "protection on/off" feature already, how would this differ if it took it out of the calculations?
NewEndian
So the main calculation has two sides: the Contributors and the Protected. Contributors generate intermod products. The Protected raise a flag if hit by an intermod product. By default, all transmitters are both Contributors and Protected. Protection On/Off allows a TX to Contribute to but not be Protected from the calculation. In addition there is an Overlap calculation which just keeps transmitters from being too close together. Disabled could mean that a TX neither Contributes to or is Protected from the calculation, but the space is still reserved for it (you can't select its frequency again, for instance). Or Disabled could keep it out of the Overlap calculation as well.
Wandering Ear
I find that I use the app to track all my radios, assignments, names, etc. as well as system setup. For my use I would prefer the disable feature to reserve the space but not contribute.
