So the main calculation has two sides: the Contributors and the Protected. Contributors generate intermod products. The Protected raise a flag if hit by an intermod product. By default, all transmitters are both Contributors and Protected. Protection On/Off allows a TX to Contribute to but not be Protected from the calculation.

 

In addition there is an Overlap calculation which just keeps transmitters from being too close together.

 

Disabled could mean that a TX neither Contributes to or is Protected from the calculation, but the space is still reserved for it (you can't select its frequency again, for instance). Or Disabled could keep it out of the Overlap calculation as well.
