My blue plastic one is very new and hasn't developed the noisy fan or whatever it is inside them that gets loud. I've seen other sound guys blue ones that are very noisy. The older metal ones are better in my opinion. The metal one will charge a Lion batt that is older and on its way out (but still has some life and use left in it) where as the blue ones will show it as faulty and not charge it. Also, you should stick to IDX batts. I'm pretty sure the swit np batts will not charge in these chargers. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
