johnpaul215 Posted February 23, 2014 Report Share Posted February 23, 2014 What are you using it for? Scripted work or run&gun reality? I've been very happy with the Rycote Lyres. Just make sure you have the appropriate one for your mic (the 60 needs a tougher version). I've been using it on reality TV getting banged around with my 416 or CS3e and it's solid. I also have one for my 8040 and don't have the handling noise some people get from that mic. KTek has a pretty new and intriguing Nautilus model that I haven't had a chance to play with yet, but would if I was about to buy something new.
