Brandon Pert
This is a question for Ford Transit Connect owners. I'm wondering what ramp and partition people have purchased. There are many options and just want to see if we can gather ideas here possibly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ProSound
If you haven't considered the Nissan NV-200 Van you should. I just bought one after researching both the Transit Connect and the Nv-200 You can see my write up here: As Partitions I opted for the 2x2 Square mesh so I can tie off right to it. It has 4 bolts in top and bottom for both trucks super secure and rock solid. Adrian Steel makes most of the accessories you'd want http://www.adriansteel.com/item/cargo-vans/transit_partitions/P2TCFW As far as ramps I just bought the kit to make your own with lumber http://www.amazon.com/Highland-0700100-Aluminum-Ramp-Top/dp/B0002MA4WK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394647445&sr=8-1&keywords=ramp+kit If you want something more custom as fellow member did this Commercial Van Interiors can give you idea of cost (562) 695-7477 Feel free to reach out if you have any questions
Philip Perkins
This is a question for Ford Transit Connect owners. I'm wondering what ramp and partition people have purchased. There are many options and just want to see if we can gather ideas here possibly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I have a ramp made of 2x6s with ends from Ramparts that has survived very well, and they are stiff enough for serious loads. That said I've found that I don't need the ramps very often with the FTC, the floor is low enough that I can lift my relatively light cart in just fine. Now that there is some competition in this size and type of van the prices for used FTCs have come down somewhat. Mine's just about to go over 100k miles: I just drove to LA and back to SF a few times recently and it's still working very well. philp

Jan McL
+1 Wheelchair ramp. Aluminum. Fold in fourths. http://www.americanvan.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=transit+connect&x=0&y=0 Got my partition from the above company that has a local distributor. In retrospect, the woven wire partition may have been sufficient, but happy to have the (mostly) full steel between me and two carts. Philip Perkins
I have the mesh type barrier--plenty strong enough but not a visual barrier (re security) for sure. philp
Brandon Pert
Thanks for all of the tips guys. I just received my transit yesterday. I considered the nv200 but ended up going with the FTC. I'm thinking the full metal barrier is safer especially with some of the sketchy areas I have to park in. Great tips on different ramp options too. I'm going to look into a DIY solution. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sound Grab
Can I ask why you chose the FTC over the NV200? Was it the 2013 or 2014 model? Still on the fence....
Brandon Pert
They are both great vans and you can't go wrong either way. I was stuck on the fence too but just pulled the trigger. I traded in my Infiniti which I've owned for almost 7 years for the FTC. You can get a great deal on a new 2013 right now. Lots of rebates. I like the comfort of the seats better, general ergonomics, and styling. Test drive them both and see which one you like more. One big advantage of the nv I must admit is that the wheel wells don't cut into the cargo area. Too many things to list right now but I will be sure to make a full report once I've finished outfitting her and have given her a fair shake down. devin golub
I may be late to the party here. But I wanted to add my 1 cent. I'm a transit connect owner. I purchased an aluminum ramp from harbor freight. The ramp folds and fits perfectly down the middle of my cargo area and is much much safer when using the attached safety chains than some wood 2x4's. Here's a link to what I use. http://m.harborfreight.com/1200-lb-capacity-convertible-aluminum-loading-ramp-94057.html#.UycDhu29LCQ
ProSound
The Wood Ramps are safe as long as you buy the kit with the parts to do it. http://www.amazon.com/Highland-0700100-Aluminum-Ramp-Top/dp/B0002MA4WK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394647445&sr=8-1&keywords=ramp+kit It also depends on the weight of your cart.
