Shastapete
http://www.yamahacommercialaudiosystems.com/product_detail.php?prodID=1156 A little bit bigger than the 01V96i, but looks like a solid evolutionary step. 16 in, 8 out analog Dante builtin 2 Mini-YGDAI card expansion slots Still AC powered at 135W

Philip Perkins
$8500, so a lot more expensive than a 01v96 type mixer (QL1) philp
Marc Wielage
32 lbs. and 22" deep.... yikes!
Jay Rose
I wish it could be used as a DAW controller. But according to the rep in the Yamaha trailer, when it visited here, no way... not even for Yamaha's own Nuendo DAW. It's not part of their market plans. Philip Perkins
I hope Yamaha doesn't think this thing is a replacement for the 01V line…. philp
Phil Palmer
Looks intriguing though. It appears to be more for Live Production according to the write up, much like the LS9 series mixers. The LS9 is a bit noisy for our purposes. As far as the weight, it's 2lbs heavier than the O1V96. It will be interesting to look and listen to this console. John Steigerwald
This looks to be the 'little brother' to the CL5 I'm currently using. So far it's been my favorite digital Yamaha desk in terms of setup, channel organization and routing flexibility. I think it's one of their better sounding digital desks as well, though it still wouldn't be my first choice for music mixing.
