Herbert Verdino
I just bought an Ambient UMP II mic power unit. If the main switch is on the left position, the device is set on to phantom power. On the right position, the power out is set to tonader. On the middle position the device is turned off. So, it can easily happen, that you switch from phantom to tonader by accident, when you want to switch off the device. My question now is, if an phantom powered mic will get damaged, if it is connected to an tonader source? Or the other way around, tonader mic connected to phantom? Thank you Herbert
Eric Toline
Not to worry, T12 won't damage a mic needing 48vp. Set the Ambient unit to what you need and cover the switch with a piece of tape so it can't be changed accidently. Eric
Brandon Pert
On the other hand 48V can possibly fry a t-powered mic right? I'm asking not telling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
