saadasound
Hey soundies, does anyone own or use any of the beautiful Inovativ Carts? Thoughts? Opinions?
mikefilosa
They are truly sweet.... but so so expensive. Have you looked at Rastorder? if a long cart (ala magliner) is your desire, Rob Stalder builds some real unique and functional beauties. I have a taller version, and I love it. http://www.rastorder.com.au/ MF
Cloud Wang
Got mine from Gotham Sound, been using one Scout cart on my last film as a follow cart. For flat land it's truly great, for mountain ? I still use my Rastorder fold up cart. i do love the idea that innovativcart can totally packed by itself. Those grips are superb. Jeff Wexler
The Inovativ carts are very well built, very road worthy and quite expensive. They don't have any carts that are really specific to our purposes (possibly as follow cart as Cloud has mentioned) unless you are already using a horizontal Magliner type setup for your main cart. I have been considering getting their caster wheel assemblies which are custom, lightweight and very well engineered, and again, very expensive. Michael McQueen
there's a few DIT's in my area that have them. they are really nice and well built but for what I want in a sound cart, not so much. but i definitely appreciate their craftsmanship! Jeff there was a thread a few weeks ago in which someone(I think it might have been Michael Miramontes) who was using a Harbour Freight 2 shelf utility cart as a bag cart. He had used six inch pneumatic castors in place of the supplied solid 5 inch wheels. I went down the same road using the cart as a small follow cart. There was only one company selling six inch pneumatics in the whole of the UK and it turned out to be the same make and they brought them in from the US. They are really good and could be less expensive than the ones you are considering. Malcolm Davies.
