Philip Perkins
It's a rigged game. Not much of a surprise, right? philp
studiomprd
Not just USA (FCC), but also: Europe sets out how UHF spectrum in the 470-790 MHz band will be used to support future demand on 4G networks. http://www.zdnet.com/europe-details-plan-to-nab-700mhz-broadcast-spectrum-for-mobile-by-2020-7000033167/?s_cid=e505&ttag=e505&ftag=TRE0fb9d06

VASI
I can fit 10+ mics in 5mhz. No problem. If you find a clear frequency. Digital is like you are in a big non empty space with many stuff inside and you try to take a breath. With analog you are inside in a small room alone. What works best depends from many factors. The future is the digital, but need more improvements.
geordi
The future is in 16 gHz spectrum, where you can warm up your coffee or send a mic signal with the same device. Too bad that all the presenters will be getting cancer from the transmitter packs, but at least the wireless internet will be fast and available wherever AT&T and Verizon decide to let you use it. As long as you pay them, of course. Pirate radio - it worked in the 60s, and it seems that it may be the only solution now too, since we aren't really being listened to by The Powers That Be. When the likes of Shure and the NFL are brushed off, how can a handful of Part 74 licenses mean diddly? David may have beaten Goliath way back when... But it seems that Goliath got smarter and is wearing armor padded with billions. Arrr matey.
