jerryray
Anyone use their Lectro HM transmitters with a 416 directly plugged in? Looking to see if this is a common occurance. TIA

BAB414
What's a good shock mount for that? I love the Invision 7 but it's not great with all that weight. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
soundtrane
invisions are available at different hardness levels. Measure of hardness is called SHORE. If you ask your supplier for a harder invision, you should get one that is stiffer because of the hardness of the material used to make the invision. usually it is a grey color that indicates harder than the normal black color. of course- the hardness of the material affects its ability to handle microphonics and handling noise. therefore you should have an invision that you SPECIFICALLY use only when you use the butt plug, and otherwise use the normal version. -vin
studiomprd
jeray: " Looking to see if this is a common occurance." what do you care, really..? if it works for you, go for it! BAB asks a more pertinent question: " what's a good shock mount for that? " I suggest a Natalus with the stiffer suspension at the back, and two lighter ones forward... Marc Wielage
416 on the front of the pole, through coiled cable, to an HM plug-on at the back of the pole. I personally think plugging the mic directly into the wireless transmitter is dodgy and will make the pole too front-heavy.

jerryray
Reason for the question is I have seen the 416 mics shutdown from the HM RF. The block 19 HM with the black delron collar can shutdown a 416. 3ft cable and it's a non issue. Pehaps later shotguns have more RF bypassing.
