Glen Deakin Posted May 14, 2014 Report Posted May 14, 2014 Does it still use "jack" to do its routing? I saw online that an older version does. Wondering if its still the case. Will be purchasing later tonight when I get home Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk Quote
engaudio Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 There's some Mixbus tutorials online at youtube from Harrison: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtL1SAmjANxmLD_mILAx3Zg Grant Quote
Christian Spaeth Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 Yes it uses Jack. And Senator, you can relax. It's not that bad! I love the controls for EQ, compressor and tape saturation. Feels like really tweaking on a console, and sounds really nice too! At least for mastering music it's a killer "plugin". Quote
al mcguire Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 thank you for sharing this, Mike. I'm about to go buy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csdKeDlD9GU Quote
Nathaniel Robinson Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 Thanks Senator! I picked it up to play around with. I'm pretty happy with Reaper for tracking/mixing music, but have always been curious about Mixbus's approach to FX/summing. I also like that OMF import can be added with a pretty affordable plug-in (Ardour XChange for $50). Quote
berniebeaudry Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 Looks pretty cool Mike! How do you see using this? Quote
studiomprd Posted May 15, 2014 Author Report Posted May 15, 2014 the offer ends later today! for my teaching, I tend to use, and show off a variety of options; I do not teach specific hardware, or software, except incidentally to teaching how to get production audio, and how to manipulate sound tracks... Once upon a time, we had to teach movie students (actually back then they were film studnets) how to use a Nagra, as it was pretty much the only viable option for proper double system sound, and was not 'instinctive' ... today there are many viable options, and mostly any 6 year old can learn how to run them...thus: it isn't abbout the arrows, it is about the archer. mastermixaudiomedia Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 I picked this up during the sale as well. They also offer occasional deals on additional bits like the plugins and tutorials and such. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
