Jack Norflus Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 I just received the latest version of software with USB key board support for Nomad. The key board will not be just limited to meta data entry, You will be able to go through all menus and change parameters, adjust trim, change matrix selections, toggle through your head phone selects etc, Pretty much if you had a mix 8 and a USB key you would have to touch you nomad.
Chris Woodcock Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 Now to find a keyboard small enough Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
resonate Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 great news. another reason to get a nomad. now, is it possible to work with wireless keyboard with this one?
cameronlenart Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 Also interested in which models will support keyboard...
Christian Spaeth Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 Excellent news, Zaxcom! I waited so long for this... might completely re-organize my cart now to make place for a keyboard. It would be great to have a list of working keyboard models so we know which ones to buy.
callou Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 Houra! Envoyé de mon Nexus 4 en utilisant Tapatalk
Shastapete Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 This only works with nomad 12 (or the old 8 ) with USB
dominiquegreffard Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 Good job zax, i had lost faith on that one the be honest. Would be curious to see with what keyboard i could make this work with as well. Ideally something very small to integrate on top of the bag. Can it trigger recording? I never liked the position, feel and holding the button for one second each time of the current record button.
RadoStefanov Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 Can we get a hardware mod that enables AES 1/2 and zaxnet next?
Bertolomi Posted July 4, 2014 Report Posted July 4, 2014 Ideally something very small to integrate on top of the bag. +1
Jack Norflus Posted July 4, 2014 Author Report Posted July 4, 2014 Can it trigger recording? Yes. The goal of the keyboard is to control every aspect of your Nomad from the keyboard.
fatfatjames Posted July 4, 2014 Report Posted July 4, 2014 Very handy!!!!! Worked with wireless keyboard!!!
Shastapete Posted July 4, 2014 Report Posted July 4, 2014 If you attach a usb hub can you use both a keyboard and an external drive?
Jack Norflus Posted July 9, 2014 Author Report Posted July 9, 2014 Just got this keyboard and it is working brilliantly.
studiomprd Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 Jack, what happens when you push the "Windows" key ??
Jack Norflus Posted July 9, 2014 Author Report Posted July 9, 2014 Jack, what happens when you push the "Windows" key ?? That is the super secret double ultra master reset. I would only advise that you hit it if there are no elderly people, or small children within 100 feet or so.
studiomprd Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 I was afraid of something like that... and even trained professionals should not attempt the "cntrl-alt-delete" maneuver indoors it ought to have an "Apple" key for this crowd....
Jeff Wexler Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 Jack, what happens when you push the "Windows" key ?? It pisses ME off! Jack's a little bit more sensible than I am so I'm sure it doesn't bother him. I would, of course, have trouble even looking at the keyboard (I suppose a little magic marker blackout would ease the pain).
