Eric Toline
Bad News: Replacement board is $235. Good News: Duracell will reimburse for replacement cost.
Jack Norflus
How did you get them to pay for the replacement?
studiomprd
I have had EverReady (Energizer bunny) pay for a replacement Nagra (IS) battery battery compartment.
VASI
$235 means nothing to Duracell. Moaning costumer means a lot (especially in social media age).

Fiftyfoot
Two years ago I set my radio mouse atop my MacBook Pro overnight. Next morning I discovered the new Duracell AA (Coppertop) inside had cut loose with a significant amount of acid, etching a big scar in the aluminum. Eric Toline
How did you get them to pay for the replacement? Go to the Duracell website and look for the contact us tab. There are options there for product issues & problems. BTW The service department of the company that did the repair specifically warns against using Duracells because of the leakage issue. ProSound
What device did they leak in is that a tv remote?
Marc Wielage
I have had Duracells leak in Denecke slate AA battery sleeves before. Denecke was able to clean up the insides, but that was a good lesson learned: don't leave batteries in this stuff for more than a day or two, especially in a hot truck. Eric Toline
What device did they leak in is that a tv remote? No that's from a microphone transceiver from a Canterbury Voice Release system used for throwing clay targets on a shotgun range. The board is part of the green unit on the stand in the picture. Geoff Tirrell
will they replace or repair for all of their batteries, or just the pro-cells? My understanding had been that that was part of what you paid for when you went with the pro-cell line. I don't know how auto correct decided to change batteries to badgers but it did Edited July 18, 2014 by Geoff Tirrell
