Dave
Hi All, I found this new camera support device , the Rodcam to be very interesting. Kind of like a boom with extreme reach. I wonder if it would have any use for flying a mic in large sets and spaces... who knows? Anyhow, enjoy the video demo on this page : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly7VwaGYNsY Cheers Everyone, Dave
Marc Wielage
Only if you're using it with a very, very lightweight camera. I don't see this working with a Red or an Alexa.
Tom Duffy
What happens when more than one bright spark decides to hang their GoPro over the carnival float? Cameras smashing into moving vehicles and people? Will this end up like concerts, where you can't see the action because everyone is holding up their phone to record it - now the air is filled with smoothly panning action shots? chrisnewton
no doubt I'm going to see one of these devices sooner, rather than later. I think it's a very clever idea. their site states clearly that it's for GoPros and that ilk. I noticed on one clip that they had used the onboard GoPro sound (I'm guessing). You probably could use it for a mic. Innovation is good. Duelling Rodcams: fun times!
Diego Sanchez
maybe the tiny mic from ambient, could work well for a big stereo rig
