LarryF Posted November 24, 2014 Report Posted November 24, 2014 The Duopack Li Ion housing for the SRb receivers is going to final QC this week and will be on the shelf the first of December 2014. This enables the SRb dual channel receiver to be used with cameras that do not have a power output available. Here is the product sheet: http://www.lectrosonics.com/US/Multicouplers-Adapters/product/482-duopack.html#data-sheet Best Regards, Larry Fisher Lectrosonics Quote
Philip Perkins Posted November 24, 2014 Report Posted November 24, 2014 Wow, cool! And this is the whole enchilada--the batteries are internal? How much? Sign me up! philp Quote
Jon Gilbert Posted November 24, 2014 Report Posted November 24, 2014 I was only pondering hassling Karl again about this earlier. I need one, and I need it soon Quote
dominiquegreffard Posted November 24, 2014 Report Posted November 24, 2014 Great idea! Extra points for the protection of the cabling in the frame. That was the last missing thing preventing me from switching to db25 connectors in my bag. Quote
Marc Hoppe Posted November 24, 2014 Report Posted November 24, 2014 Very nice design Larry. Well done. Quote
johnpaul215 Posted November 25, 2014 Report Posted November 25, 2014 brilliant! So it's *approximately* 411 sized, and can use existing mounting solutions (but you only need one of them). Very nice! Quote
Derek H Posted November 25, 2014 Report Posted November 25, 2014 Will this fit in a 411 BEC box? Quote
LarryF Posted November 25, 2014 Author Report Posted November 25, 2014 Will this fit in a 411 BEC box? It is a little larger than a 411 so no. LEF brilliant! So it's *approximately* 411 sized, and can use existing mounting solutions (but you only need one of them). Very nice! Perzactly. LEF Quote
Marc Wielage Posted November 25, 2014 Report Posted November 25, 2014 Wow, and 17 hours operating time per charge! Really impressive, Larry. Quote

That was the last missing thing preventing me from switching to db25 connectors in my bag.Trew audio did me up a really nice metal db25 female connector to 2 xlr and power for bag use. Super heavy duty. Not sure the brand name of the connector but its solid. Not the worlds lightest connector either. Quote
LarryF Posted November 25, 2014 Author Report Posted November 25, 2014 Very nice. How much? $760 list. LEF Quote
fieldmixer Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 Ok I'll ask... Larry, How would lectro suggest mounting one of these to various cameras? Quote
fieldmixer Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 many camera owner operators do not want any type of tape or glue or glue residue on their cameras. Any one else notice this? Who could blame them.. Quote

Who could blame them.. Some guys like to look at their dick and admire it, others like to use it and get residue on it. Quote
Glen Deakin Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 Ummm OK. Never had a problem putting Velcro on batteries. Lot of times they are already Velcrorized. Quote
LarryF Posted November 26, 2014 Author Report Posted November 26, 2014 There are some mounting parts. I will post them tomorrow. We've also sent samples to some of the usual suspects that make thingies for mounting receivers to cameras and battery packs. There will be accessories. Best, Larry F Lectro Quote
Philip Perkins Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 Right away I'd need a metal "sleeve" like the one sold by Lectro for the naked SRB--that comes in VERY handy…. Are there any mounting holes (like 1/4-20) inthis thing I hope? philp Quote
James Arnold Posted November 26, 2014 Report Posted November 26, 2014 This is excellent! I do hope that $760 list price doesn't become £760 over here... Quote

We've also sent samples to some of the usual suspects that make thingies for mounting receivers to cameras and battery packs. There will be accessories. Best, Larry F Lectro We are sending a dummy DUOPACK to BEC Group so they can make a holder. We are also looking at making a sleeve similar to the SRSLEEVE: http://www.lectrosonics.com/US/Receivers-Portable-Accessories/product/304-srsleeve.html The sleeve hardware will be similar to this: http://www.lectrosonics.com/US/Receivers-Portable-Accessories/product/302-srhardware.html The sides of the DUOPACK are flush to the chassis so Velcro can be used directly between the DUOPACK and the camera or whatever. To make the unit shorter, the standoff for the cables at the bottom of the unit is detachable with 4 screws. The screw holes are deliberately deep so the "unused" screws can be stored in the screw holes. So, between Velcro, BEC Group and a sleeve from us, we should be covered. Other suggestions welcomed.
