Sergio Sanmiguel
I went to Cabelas this morning and bought this: They come on different sizes & strong enough to hold a firefighter's Axe or even Fire extinguishers or scuba tanks. I'll replace my worn out bobbers with a pair of quick fists and see how they hold... www.endroad.com
Jeff Wexler
That looks to be a terrific product --- the best of the basic rubber bobber with the security of a custom built holder. This would certainly do away with the need to add a velcro strap as many have done to the basic rubber bobber. - JW
Eric Burge
Looks kind of like a Sof-Lock mount on steroids, or maybe it just spent some time at the gym...or maybe back paddled it's way to the re-engineering chalkboard. Hard to not draw similarities. I've been quite pleased with the standard Sof-locks for well over a year...IMHO, they're way better than the de facto bobbers. Still listening, Vin? Check out Paul Graff's thread on his cart (images of interest.) Can we bring fire-axes/extinguishers on set? Maybe this new toy will hold a shotgun! soundtrane
Yes, Eric B, i'm listening! How is Otter? I wish I could get a few of these as well, apart from the toolflex. i dont mind at all switching to a more suitable possibility even though I have spent some money on the toolflex. it's a pity that we sometimes dont find what is apt for our use at the opportune time. ah, it's a pity they wont ship to India from their website store... -vin

Go to the checkout page and India is one of the numerous countries they say they'll ship...
Eric Burge
btw, what are Sof-locks ? -vin Check out page 1 of Paul Graff's discussion about his cart: Images of Interes>PG's sound cart project. http://www.jwsound.net/SMF/index.php?topic=1948.0 Got mine at LSC as well, walk-in purchase. Otter is fine and well. Thanks for asking. EB
soundtrane
Actually they do. Go to the checkout page and India is one of the numerous countries they say they'll ship... No, they don't, the checkout leads to another page that says 'out of shipping area' etc... i have written to them, let's see what they say... -vin
Sergio Sanmiguel
Well, that's odd. Maybe what they really need is effective international distribution...

Kevin Sorensen
A wall mount, for a MagLight flashlight, works pretty well for a fishpole holder. Rig up up a small bungy cord or velcro strap, and it is secure. Getting creative with PVC & ABS pipe, could be a whole other topic.
