olphi
Hello, i m shooting a multi caméra situation with some cameras are rolling at 25 FPS and others in 50 FPS. What is the best practice for sync? I m recording with my SD664 and Ambient ACL 201 TC box. There is only 25 FPS on the Ambient TC logger. I thought to make a clap but maybe is there a better solution? Best regards.

olphi
OK 25 for the SD 664 but is it possible to sync the 50 FPS cameras with the Ambient ACL 201? Do I have to sync all the TC box with my SD664 and then output TC via the BNC with 2 différents FPS? Sorry but I m lost.
pkautzsch
50 fps cams don't need sync for sound. Will later be played at 25 anyway. Will be used for slo-mo only, won't it. Oh, maybe it won't, and they drop every second frame in post. It's a trick done on some commercials to be able to go to slo-mo whenenver they like. If that's the case: Check with cam dept if their cams are able to cross jam to an incoming 25 fps TC. Depends on cam model. Or get / rent a newer TC box that supports double frame rates.
