Sean McCormick
Hi folks. Would love anyone's 2 cents concerning how long do you reckon the Omni will be supported and what may come along to replace it? I'm really contemplating going HD Native and it would suit my I/O needs fine, but it's been out there for a good while. Thanks!
Shastapete
The omni is a baby compared to other Avid equipment. The Digidesign 96io came out in 2002, and only last years was it officially killed off with Protools 11. The omni was announced in 2010, I bet it'll be around into the 2020s no problem
Philip Perkins
I hope it sticks around--it seems like a good balance of features and a good deal for an Avid hardware product. philp

Brian Liston
Avid's policy of late is that a piece of gear will be supported for five years after it is discontinued. So, those people who bought a $100,000 Icon console last year have 4 years before it becomes more of a boat anchor.
