olphi
Hello, is it possible to use the new Lectrosonics L serie with sennheiser IEM 300 receivers? My idea is to use a Lectro L serie for hop to the master camera (TX and RX) and my old G3 recievers for secondary cams and IFB. It will be an improvement to have a diversity system, full quality link for the master cam. As I already own 5 IEM and G3 recievers, I don't want to buy full new systems. If I use the L series in analog mode, is it completely stupid?
Tom Visser
My gut tells me just run the master cam lectro digital hybrid mode and then cover the rest of the cams with your G3 separately, meaning you'll run 2 hop tx's in your bag. Derek H
Good advice from Tom. Lectro does not have a compatibility mode for Sennheiser's HDX compandor which is what the g2/g3/2000 series uses. You can get a g3 receiver to receive signal in several of the other compatibility modes but the quality level is mediocre. Try it out and see. Would be useful if Lectro added an HDX compatibility mode since they'll likely be selling many L series units to customers who are upgrading from G3s and backwards compatibility could be useful.
