millar Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Im trying to make a lemo 5pin to 1/4" trs time code cable to lay tc into boom recorder from my 664 and am confused about the wiring on the trs end. Any thoughts if I am on the right track? Lemo: pin 5 (tc), pin 1 (ground) 1/4": tip (tc), ring (not connected), sleeve(ground) Quote
Todd Weaver Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 That's it.. Use a piece of index card or something of that nature while soldering your two connections one at a time to avoid solder bridges on those tightly placed solder lugs. Solder bridges are no bueno and will pretty much ruin that expensive connector. Take your time and use the right sized cable for the job. There is no need for the 1/4" plug to be TRS. A mono plug might work better. Quote
