cstauffer
Just wondering if anyone can report anything regarding the new Deneke slates released with Timecode Buddy receiver in them? I know they are sorta new, but... CRAIG
Ze Frias
I got a demo of these at NAB. I thought it was ingenious. Obviously not the first hand experience you were looking for, but I'm sure new owners will chime in soon enough.
johnpaul215
Agree that the demo is intriguing, especially if you work on a scripted series and can get everyone on board. It could really streamline things for post, as well as on set workflow.
John Blankenship
At NAB they said the system wasn't shipping yet.
carbonhobbit
I heard sometime in July.
Sound Grab
I think it will take some time to transition to this slate, and I don't think this would be a great 'first' slate to pick up. The most asked change from what I've read was a taller top line just in case people wanted to put the roll, shot and take manually with a faceplate without overhanging the TC window. It's unfortunate that this never happened. I'm interested in picking one up, but I'd definitely have to see how the TCB app and the MovieSlate app UI interacts with the TS-TCB, and how the Script Supervisor will deal with what goes on the slate. I honestly don't want to keep track of camera rolls to put on the slate either.
Charlie Parra
Hi guys, Thanks for your interest in the Denecke TS-TCB. We have just fired up the production line and the first units should start shipping out to our dealers on the last week of May or first week in June. Thanks again. cstauffer
Thanks Charlie. I asked this question in the first place because on the Timecode Buddy site it has been saying they are shipping now for quite awhile. CRAIG
