Michael Lindsay
Sorry to be slow getting back to you... KH 120 A but I do wish I had picked up the digital version for its integrated delay functionality... Hi Michael, I am curious about them. Do you have KH 120 A or KH 120 D? Bash
I am assuming you are in the US. Not sure what they do for distro over there but here in the UK PMC (Professional Monitor Company) are quite popular. Kindest, sb
jgbsound
Flattering wasn't the proper descriptive word. I guess I meant the genelecs sounded brighter to my ears compare to other speaker I've listened to. Pindrop pointed out, we don't hear in a flat frequency response. I assume we all hear things slightly differently as well. This is why kicking the tires on monitors is so important in my quest. I went up online and looked at PMC as well. Very nice speakers but outta the price range I'm shopping in. Thanks everyone! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Simon Paine
I've been a recent convert to the Adam Audio line of speakers. Adam Audio Link
dfisk
My personal favs have always been the JBL LSR series. I've used others, but not everything out there. My second favs...it's a toss up between genelec and dynaudio. I've used BlueSky and they distorted in the mids very easily, same with Event. My first speakers were the Mackie HR824, and they sounded great, but I found they never translated well for me to the theater for some reason. If I had to do it all over again, I'd be very tempted to just to with the Yamaha NS10 speakers. If your stuff sounds good on those, it'll sound good anywhere. mikewest
A good friend moved from the Dynaudio DM5 speakers I use, to K&M monitors now owned by Neumann Any listeners and opinions? mike
Bash
Mike, I think you mean K&H surely? K and M make mic stands ;-) K&H sound fantastic, but are a little bit spendy, as they say ;-) Kindest, sb
minister
A good friend moved from the Dynaudio DM5 speakers I use, to K&M monitors now owned by Neumann Any listeners and opinions? mike The K+H Speakers (Neumann) are great. I instantly related to them. I've mixed on Events, Mackies, DynAudio, and Genelecs. By far my favorite speakers. They translate well (as always, if you know what you are doing and know your room) and not in the least bit fatiguing. I have a good friend who's a Mastering Engineer, who's Mastered rekkids you've heard of and is one of the top ME's, bought a pair after hearing mine and he loves them. Couple other posties I know are now on to them and are happy. Edited July 16, 2015 by minister
