Jeff Wexler
As soon as we solve the problems we are having, I will get back into the possibility of re-installing Tapatalk.
Glen Deakin
the web version of the phone is not so bad. A few refresh issues and some messaging screen issues but for viewing and responding and posting I'm getting more used to it. Im using Chrome on Android. Jeff Wexler
Glen, you're not still able to access this site with Tapatalk app are you? I have UN-installed Tapatalk plug-in (or so I thought) because of all the trouble it was creating. Just so you know, I have to sign on, subscribe, to Tapatalk service as a forum owner, download and install their plug-in which enables you to access sites using the Tapatalk app on your mobile device. Glen Deakin
No Jeff I'm using the web version on my phone I am getting more used to it. Tapatalk was still faster and smoother but the more more I get used to it the less i will miss it. I only ever used Tapatalk for accessing jwsound so I have currently uninstalled it Edited July 14, 2015 by Glen Deakin
Jeff Wexler
Thanks, Glen, for the clarification. I'm pleased that you are finding the mobile responsive theme at least acceptable. Mobile browsing is so important to so many, I will try to bring Tapatalk back into the mix at some point so people have options.
Wyatt Tuzo
My only issue, personally, with the mobile browsing, is that my "unread" messages default me to the head of the topic (meaning I have to scroll through every message in the thread before I get to my most recent unread)
Jeff Wexler
Wyatt, are there any settings (filters) available for the New Content routine with the mobile theme? With full size browser, of course, you can fine tune the New Content which makes it possible to go to the latest unread post. Maybe I'll play around with the mobile theme on my iPhone so that I can be a little bit more familiar with how it works.
Peter Mega
I find the mobile version of the site on my iPhone is great, especially since the site update a few weeks ago. I'll never even bother with tapatalk I find it that good. Wyatt, if you press the dot in the left, it will go straight to the unread message in that thread. See pic/dots on the left of topic. Thanks again Jeff for a great site. Cheers Mega
Jeff Wexler
Peter, thanks for the great tip --- this is really helpful as we start to understand how all these things work.
Peter Mega
No worries. Forgot to mention the dot becomes a star if you've replied in a thread but will have the same function.
