David Silberberg
So regarding the RF problem actor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5pkmrzsPHs a tutorial showing how to make a dipole antenna for a transmitter, so you can get the antenna up on the person's shoulder while the body pack is down at the waist or ankle. requires the use of a transmitter with removable antenna, sma mount. Richard Nault
Try getting the tx antenna away from any skin. Use a straw or maybe a hush lav on the end of the antenna. You can also try putting the tx on the ankle (less mass to go through) +1. Sweaty skin next to antenna? R
RPSharman
I once went to wire this actress. She laughed and said, "You won't have much luck with that." We chatted a bit about her previous experiences on other shows, and the fact that mixers had trouble with reception of her mic. I took it with a grain of salt, assuming poor equipment or something. She was right, however. Very poor reception. Normal size body. No costume issue. Variable placement. Just voodoo.
