Specs says AC but it says DC on the Saffire itself ... Wanna power that box with 12V DC from my cart and would like to know before ebaying. The only way to know for sure is to look at the external psu (wall wart) and see what the output spec is. From literature online for the unit: 2.DC power adaptor input This means that the interface can be powered by an external PSU if required.The most common (larger, 6 pin) type of Firewire port can supply power, so the use of an external power supply will not normally be necessary. Hopefully he will get back to me in time. On the pics it says DC IN - USE Focusrite unit only. In the manual it says psu 12AC 1A. Best, Matthias.
