boodschap
I was on a job and had a lot of tracks to record. After a few hours, I wanted to free some space, so we could keep recording. So I wanted to change directory and delete the files there. But I didn't and I deleted the files from the current session - without all of them being copied to my secondary card. At first I thought 'no problem, recovery software will do the trick', but unfortunately Zaxcom uses zax-files :-/ What can I do to restore my files? Christian Spaeth
Try the app RecoveRx, maybe that helps.
boodschap
A collegue just got me into this tool, I didn't know it existed. howy
The ZaxFile_505.exe recovery utility should get them back. Note that it requires Windows XP,Vista (and maybe Windows 7 with administrator privileges) to run. Edited October 30, 2015 by howy
SoundZu
Thanks howy, Hoping I never have to utilize this tool but in reading your post ... I was wondering if Windows 8.1 and 10 are now supported as well ?. Will there ever be an option for using this utility with mac os's since most D.I.T.'s or Data wranglers tend to use that platform most.
