chriskellett
Any tired this with any success? I spoke to SD today and they do not have any experience with it, my CL WiFi range is very poor ( even with the iPad sitting directly on top of the CL WiFi antenna) in environments with a crowded WiFi band. I have tried new antenna, CL link cable and a different CL WiFi unit with no real change.
bmfsnd
2.4 GHz amps are mostly useful for situations where the band is clear, and you just need to send the signal further distances, i.e. building to building. In a crowded environment, using an amplifier may just add more noise, and make performance worse for everyone.
Constantin
Try using a different antenna. I have not tried it on my CL-Wifi, but I did on an IFB100. I bought an antenna which is meant for boosting wifi routers, so it should work here, too. The range increase is incredible, plus it may well be much cheaper than an amp, and no extra power is required.
Geoff Maxwell
I've never had experience with an amp or different antenna...and no luck with changing the channels on my 788 HOWEVER I've had a lot of success going to my iPad WIFI settings and choosing "forget this network" and then rejoining when I change locations...might help.
