osa
Does anyone know what type/size the star bits are on the back of the g2? Bought several at local hardware stores and keep failing. -Ken
Vincent R.
This screw is advertised for the G3 so I guess it works on the G2 to since the casing is about identical: http://www.fullcompass.com/prod/220770-Sennheiser-550243
Constantin
Well you can try that one, but it doesn't look to be right. It's advertised for SKMs which are different and judging solely from the picture I'd guess it's too long. But maybe not...
Vincent R.
If you look at the discription of the item it says G3. I remembered from my g2s that the screws where not that small eighter. But I might be wrong...
Constantin
If you look at the discription of the item it says G3. I know, but otherwise it is very specific and lists specific skm transmitters, but then it just says G3, which is very vague. And some of the skm are part of G3, too. Anyway, I just measured one of my old G2 screws, and it's 8mm long.

pindrop
Don't know the size or type to ask for but here's a scan (inc. trapped hair) of the one I've successfully used for G2's as the ribbon cable for the display needed re-seating on one of mine every so often and I had to take the back off to do this ....... Rick Reineke
The G2s had different size (Torx) star-head screws than the G3. (update) I found one of my old G2's and the screw is of a courser thread than the G3, though it appears to be the same diameter. I'm sure any same sized self-tapping screw would work. That said, the Torx drive head sizes are: G2 = T5; The G3= T8.

osa
just got a precision screw driver kit for a local hardware store. ratcheting driver and 24 bits - including 5x torx bits. according to the kit, my G2 required a T6. Not sure how accurate this is but thought i would share. -Ken
Rick Reineke
"my G2 required a T6" - Could be.. the Torx T5 is a slightly loose fitting, but it worked in my case. Same with the (G3) T8, could be a T9.
