sergiofucchi
Good morning. After a long time I'm back with some comments on the microphone Soundifield SPS200 I purchased some time ago. I bought the kit 1, ie only the microphone and cable. Later I also bought the flexible short wire to reduce noise when mounted on windshield suspension. Now I use it in a Rycote WS2, I already had, with the hard gray Lyre and I am quite well. I have one doubt, and that is whether the fact that two capsules are quite close to the junction of the anterior dome of the windshield and therefore fail to capture well the sounds that come from that direction. ramallo
If and obstacle is bigger than 1/4 λ the sound is reflected, thats means: wavelength of 10kHz=3,4cm, 1/4 = 8,5mm, if the junction is bigger than 8,8mm the sound is reflected (but not in all directions of incidence). Don't worry about this I have my SPS200 with the WS3 (The Soundfield kit)
Glen Deakin
I could see the pianissimo working really well for the SPS200.

Cinela makes a version of the Zephyx windshield system for the SPS200, however, SoundField makes a shorter version of the SPS200 to fit in said windshield, it's the SPS200-SB (for short body). As you state, the pianissimo could probably work as well for the regular SPS200, though.
Glen Deakin
Hi Josie yes that's what I was thinking using the regular one and getting Philippe to work his magic. As I assume that's the one the OP would have is the regular version of the mic
