sinnlicht
Hi All, I just bought a ZFR 100 with this lavalier, which was billed as an AT899. It is not (I have several AT899's). Can anyone identify what mic it is? Thanks Richard

KGraham045
I have a couple of them, use them with my back up rig on shoots that I don't want to put my more expensive gear on.... It's the AT 899cw... I'm 99% sure.
Glen Deakin
The OP said that it's not a at899. That's the first mic I thought of when insaw the picture. But....

And it sure looks similar to the mic in the picture Rick posted and in this photo from the AT webpage for the 899: http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/wired_mics/102fa42601dd18dc/ What about the mic you have is different from the AT899? Perhaps it's cheap knockoff of the AT mic?
sinnlicht
On the left our mystery guest. On the right an AT899 unscrewed to underscore the difference. But you guys may be pointing to the fact that the design of the AT899 changed over time? Thanks RL
Glen Deakin
I never knew that the at899 unscrewed.
KGraham045
My AT 899cw don't unscrew it looks exactly like the one your talking about
Jim Feeley
Maybe you have an AT898 cardioid? Check it out: http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/wired_mics/c56cac8605404472/index.html
