Has anyone seen evidence of this LYTRO technology in use?  Even if it's a hoax, it's a good one.  I see a possible breakthrough in sound using analagous technology.  Are the much slower sound waves and their travel through the medium of air (or other media) different enough from the photon-composed waves of light to have no relevance here?  It seems the signal-processing requirement could be less than the 40K they are using (?)?

The idea that focus is a thing of the past, if applied to sound waves, could be what we've been looking for.
