Add three more mic channels to SD633

Recommended Posts

Ran across a rather nice add on to the SD633, three additional mic inputs with phantom and power feed thru.  Made by those clever Swedes at  Marenius.  Pricing seems to be in the low 700usd range.  Not a vendor, just an interested user.

Ya, I think there was discussion of this here somewhere... Did you see this in person or use one? What did you think?

Add-on Mic Amplifier for Sound Devices 633

SD633 Add-On is a three channels microphone amplifier that mounts below a Sound Devices* 633 mixer/recorder. It extends the capacity for the SD633 from three to six mic inputs by using the three line inputs.

It looks like a nice little unit and a great addition for the 633 for 6 powered inputs just wish they could have put input 4 5 & 6 on the front I know it's a little thing but if it's a paring with a 633 then why not.

They would have been a hero had they also included the ability to lock all 3 faders for dms recordings... something SD appears unwilling to implement on the 633.

I have used a few times the Kortwich VCP... It is a good unit but...in my opinion it really misses an input limiter.

A modified (ISO O/Ps) SQN2S? If only there was a way of doing this to a 302 (even at the expense of a mix O/P).
