AndersonSoundRecording
Hello esteemed sound people Am in the market for a lockit. Needs to be able to do WC & LTC. I've used the old Denecke SB-3, but I don't think they're making that model anymore. Since I have to buy new, ACL204 looks like it has a good feature set for me. SB-4 looks like it doesn't do WC, not sure about the SB-T. Any experience/opinions with these boxes? Is there something different/better? Thanks in advance for your time & input. afewmoreyears
Why do you have to buy new...? I've used the 204 before ...Was very nice, but, at around a grand..I dunno.. The new SB-4 I own, love it..But again..No word clock.. Not a part of my normal workflow.. A nod to Father Time...
chriskellett
I guess you could try and track down some of the Denecke sb-t boxes, they would fill your WC requirement as well.
drpro
Fan of the TCB series. The TRx+ will do WC. Wireless and WiFi capable. The Betso is another good one.

Bash
The BETSO is solid, but simple. If all you need is TC, sync, and radio, then go for it. The Ambient does SO much more, as does the TCSystems. So - if you are looking forward then it would have to be Ambient or TCS, otherwise BETSO. Kindest, sb
Glen Deakin
Sb3 is a great unit and pops up used often.
Philip Perkins
I often see Ambient Lockits of all vintages as well as Denecke SBTs around used--they all work great if they've been cal'ed.
hobosoundguy
I have an ambient acl302 for sale. Has all of the above Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kosty
Go for a used 202CT or 203 if you don't need the wireless sync of the 204 / tiny lockit.
BudRaymond
If you're willing to go the Ambient Masterlockit route, the 204 with wireless jam, remote battery monitoring, etc. is a great feature set. I own 2 and they've come in very handy on Marvel shoots where you need word sync.
Derek H
I can vouch for Betso. Very solid choice, durable, good user support. Less than $500 and has a great OLED display. They also have some new models out now but I own two of the SBOX-1N and they've been very good. If you want the 'best' get Ambient. For me, I wanted something smaller and didn't see a real need to have genlock all the time.
