newzhack
My old Rycote shock mount is failing. Any suggestion on a new one? regards john in OKC
John Blankenship
Yes. Check out the many discussions here, such as: K-Tek, Rycote Invision, Cinela
Glen Deakin
Invision line from rycote is great and inexpensive. Cinela is also great but will cost more. Depends what you want to spend and what you want to do with it. Use with a Softie or just foamy?
newzhack
I bought the Rycote and after a day in the sun it has developed a droop Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Mark LeBlanc
Just picked up the updated PSC McDonald M5 Pro mount. Simple, new bands work great and hold everything from my MKH50's to AKG shotguns very well with no handling noise issues.. Thumbs up.. We buy a ton of Rycote products here between us all. Send them a link of this thread and keep us apprised. Safety in numbers, and getting a bad service rep goes a long way. Thanks JWsound! Philip Perkins
That's what those Lyres do, given the weight of the mic and the WS. It's fine.

Turns out this is really just normal behavior. Good for you!
