Marla Hettinger
I do sound and quite frequently I work with the NanoFlash that records video and audio on CF cards. It's been discontinued and curious if anyone has heard of a comparable replacement?
Mungo
Depends on the codecs you want to generate. Nanoflash could record in XDCam HD422 1080i, which is still relevant for some TV workflows. There is no other such recorder on the market. Check out the machines from Video Devices and the Blackmagic Videoassist.
chrismedr
I take it you're looking for something small? the Ninja Star is probably one of the smallest choices if all you need is embedded audio or 2 line in:https://www.atomos.com/ninja-star for quality audio the Video Devices are probably the best bet atm. chris
Marla Hettinger
Thanks for the replies! I've seen the blcakmagic but not the Video Devices nor the Atomos. I'll look into those thanks. Thanks! Marla
andrewstone
You can find nanoFlash units for sale on a variety of forums in the video world. Picked up one a few months ago that was in excellent shape. Internal battery usually needs replacement.
