Jay Rose
From today's New York Times: Scientists are trying to make long-term recordings of the ambience in remote Alaskan locations, to capture the sounds of birds and bears and other creatures before they're drowned out by snowmobiles and flyovers. Except sometimes the critters act like actors looking for an excuse why they can't concentrate: Quote ... the scared bears charge. You can hear the speed of their steps as they run toward the station, flatten it and unplug the mic.
bilagaana
I've been to remote areas of the planet and you can always count on a jet at 30,000 feet to screw you up for 15 minutes.
