RPSharman
I see I'm not the only one to occasionally wear slightly-less-than-OSHA-approved footwear at some locations. But I do keep a pair of "real" shoes on the truck, just in case.
Jim Gilchrist
Yesterday I spent the day helping to record the first (and most likely only) visit to the WW II Memorial here in Washington by a group of 70 or so WW II veterans from Texas. It's the second time I've recorded a visit and I'll be volunteering as a local guide in the future. Best regards, Jim
Philip Perkins
Night before last: Beausoleil w/ Michael Doucet @ The Ashkenaz in Berkeley; for an ongoing doc about fiddle playing, 8 cams of various types... Next day: commercial overlooking the Golden Gate w/ Sam Neill. Nice view from THAT office. phil p

You guys with cameras with none of the above....turn on your camera mics! Showtime!" phil p
old school
@PP. Thats funny about the camera guys. Was Adam Feil your AD on the commercial? I know he was shooting at the GG on the same day. Love the Office View thread. CrewC

CrewC Yeah, Adam--I figured you would know him, but the days were so crazy (chasing the fog w/ the 85' Akela...) that I had no chance to chat w/ him other than "WHAT'S NEXT!". The FORM guys were cool--you prob work w/ them a lot. phil p
Richard Lightstone, CAS
Yesterday, 6 pages on the golf course, working out of "the bag". Photo: riding the GripTrix electric camera car, leading two golf carts with four actors, having a gabfest.
Sean McCormick
Yesterday I spent 11 hours on a Texas lake, shooting a guy chatting with a talking fish for a commercial. Logistics get exponentially more squirrely on water. Five boats, several live and dead bass and a medic on a jet ski. Fun day, nonetheless. berniebeaudry
did you have to use a low cut filter to get rid of too much bass?
old school
@ Sean n R L. The pictures look like we have the most fun jobs in the world. We know these jobs are better than many but 11 + hours on a lake or golf course is a brutal day. @ PP, Gary Feil, Adams dad just retired from the AD life of commercials in LA. He was the best and his son has the makings of one. Glad work is good. CrewC

While arduous, I'll take 11 hours of that over 2-3 hours of some of the "reality" stuff I've had to do recently. Take care, Sean
cmassey
"Talking bass" don't fall into the reality world? Seems like reality to me...and was the paramedic on jet skit for the crew/talent or the bass?

Jon Gilbert
My office has been in Afghanistan for the last couple of weeks, here's me dressed for work... And here's the view from the window of my company car... Until you've had a Blackhawk as your daily drive, with a twin Apache escort, you haven't really lived. I'm glad someone is up to doing this kind of work... I personally would never be able to go into "the office" if it was located in a country at war. Too scary! - Jeff Wexler
