DanieldH Posted September 2, 2025 Report Posted September 2, 2025 Hey Bouke, thnx for the reply. German Wikipedia claims, the induction is in the 25-50kHz range, similar to what Larry suggested somewhere in this thread. I've discussed the issue with my sound colleague who will also be on set and we are in good faith it will work out with Wisy and the customer has been warned anyway. If the Wisys really pick up the induction, I'll report here. Quote
Olle Sjostrom Posted September 2, 2025 Report Posted September 2, 2025 My wife edited a show where they had an induction stove. When she worked at the office she didn't notice anything weird. When she worked from home, using a remote system, all the scenes at the stove gave a LOUD beeping noise. After I sat down to try to notch EQ that noise away, which I could clearly hear was somewhere in the 3000 range, I noticed it only disappeared when I notched at around 18000 (!!!). Completetly disappeared. So what's my point? Well, they make noise but they're not audible in the right playback rate. Probably what happened to the sound was it was downconverted in a bad way in the remote system . Quote
Michael Manzke Posted September 2, 2025 Report Posted September 2, 2025 I just worked on a cooking show with an induction stove. I used Wisycom MTP41S/dpa 4060 and 6061 and didn't encounter any noise from the cooking fields. Quote
DanieldH Posted September 2, 2025 Report Posted September 2, 2025 Thank you Michael and Olle, all very helpful information. Quote
DanieldH Posted September 19, 2025 Report Posted September 19, 2025 So, the show went well. The guy providing the kitchen was present on set and more or less in the role of the props guy. He told me he knows about the issue and also Miele has various stove families that are known for problems with audio, but apparently not his one. Oh well... The Wisys did their job. Thanks again everybody Quote
