al mcguire
The studio I worked at went through divorce and the new owner was an RCA Nashville producer and Chet Atkins would sometimes show up to listen to what we were working on. The most he ever said to me "Al could to roll back to the turnaround ( instrumental break), there might be a lick there I could steal" He liked to laugh. https://reverb.com/news/certified-genius-the-guitars-of-chet-atkins

cmgoodin
Chet was amazing. I was a big fan in the 60s and 70s. He was amazing how with his re-strung guitar he could play Bass, Rhythm, and Lead Melody all at once without any overdubbing. Who needed Les Paul's multi-itrack machine when you had Chet on guitar.
