syncsound
Getting some high pitched noise (assuming it's RF) with Countryman B6s and the SMWB. Happened on 2 different B6s, never with COS-11s or OST mics. Anyone else run into this?

The B6 requires 2 Volts for bias which is set by leaving pin 4 unconnected. Best Regards, Larry Fisher

No. The input circuits are the same. Does the noise vary with the position, near or far, of the antenna and the B6 cable? LEF

syncsound
Same noise, regardless of wire/antenna position.

The only things I can think of now it to try somebody else's B6's and SMWB because everything else has been substituted or tried. You might also try calling service at Lectro (800) 821-1121 and see if they know of a similar occurrence. Renee and Dean have talked to a lot of users with weird problems over many years. Dean Slotness
How is the B6 microphone wired? We have noted that the figure 1 information from our mic wiring page does indeed cause the noise you have reported. https://www.lectrosonics.com/Support/Microphone-Wiring/uhf-transmitter-5-pin-input-jack-wiring.html Suggest using the wiring from Countryman's site as shown in the pic below... Please let us know if this wiring cures the high pitched noise.

It shouldn't. Best Regards, Larry Fisher
